In short

  • The apps need no account, no sign-in and no personal details.
  • The apps contain no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
  • Your progress and settings stay on your device.
  • We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising.

What the apps store on your device

The apps keep a save of your game (where you are, what you hold, the hints you have read) and your settings (sound, language, theme) in the app's own storage on your phone. This data is not sent to us. Removing the app removes it.

Error reports

The apps send error reports to Sentry, a service hosted in the EU, so that we can fix crashes. A report contains the error and its technical trace, the app version and environment, the operating system and device model, and the error code of a failed store operation. It contains no name, no email address, no user identifier and no IP address (IP storage is switched off in our Sentry project), and no recordings or usage sessions. Reports are kept for at most 90 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the apps working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Purchases

There is nothing to buy yet and the apps do not talk to any payment service. We plan one optional in-app purchase that unlocks the full episode. When it is added, payment will be handled by Apple or Google, and we will use RevenueCat to check whether the unlock is owned; this page will be updated first.

This website

The site is static: no cookies, no analytics, no fonts or scripts from other servers. It is hosted by Vercel Inc., which, like any host, processes request data such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs to deliver the pages and keep them secure.

If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you and keep the conversation for as long as it is needed for that.

Children

The games are not aimed at young children. Because the apps collect no personal data, nothing about children is collected either. If you think a child has sent us personal data by email, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data we hold about you, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. The apps hold no personal data about you on our side, so in practice this concerns emails you sent us. Write to i2p30mk+escape-room@gmail.com.

Changes

If the apps start to collect anything new, this page is updated before the change ships. The date at the top shows the latest version.
